People's Emergency Briefing

The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency, yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future. This new film is part of a national effort to fully inform people about the dangers and potential responses to the ongoing climate crisis, and Cinema Nairn has agreed to be part of the national rollout of the film.
Hosted by Cinema Nairn and the Highland Weigh's Climate Cafe with support from The Pebble Trust, the film sets out the risks facing the nation - and the credible, positive responses available in a clear and accessible account designed for screenings in communities across the UK.
The film will be followed by a discussion facilitated by Stephen Wiseman from Nairn based charity, Nature4Health. The Highland Weigh Climate Cafe will be providing tea, coffee and cakes on the night.
The film is recommended for people 16 years and older. A programme of events appropriate for under 16s is planned for schools.
