We are delighted to announce that we have been invited to join in the 50th Anniversary celebrations of the wonderful Eden Court by screening One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, which was released in the UK in the same year that Eden Court opened.
Jack Nicholson plays a rebellious convict who is sent to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation in 1963 Oregon, and encourages his docile companions to take more control of their lives and defy the tyrannical Nurse Ratchet (brilliantly played by Louise fletcher) .
This is darkly comical portrayal of a man set on liberation and a woman, determined to keep order.
Some viewers may find some scenes disturbing.
All our films are screened with subtitles for the hard of hearing, when they are available.
